Description/Job Summary

This position exists to provide supplemental support to the Accounting Department.


Principal Daily Responsibilities                                   Hours   % of Time
A/R Cash Application                                                     1.00            20%
Journal Entry preparation and posting                              1.00            20%
A/P Voucher Processing                                                1.00            20%
Daily Cash Report Preparation                                        1.00           20%
Processing of Stop Payments and Voiding Checks           1.00           20%

Required Skills

  • Ability to work on several tasks concurrently
  • Ability to produce finished copy from drafts
  • Ability to devise and access different filings systems
  • Ability to receive verbal & written instructions
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of people
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of common formats for correspondence and reports
  • Ability to control and/or adapt to interruptions, changes, disorder
  • Ability to perform tasks with appropriate speed and in a timely manner
  • Ability to maintain composure, effectiveness, and flexibility under pressure
  • Ability to recognize work problems and get assistance when necessary

Required Education

BA, Accounting or 5 Years of Job Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of general staff accounting experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of computer experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of collections experience
